Meet the Makers: Kayla, Cindy & the Family Behind The Celebration Co.
|
|
We’re Kayla (daughter) and Cindy (mama)—the voices you hear during lives, the hands behind the designs, and the hearts behind The Celebration Co. If you’ve ever wondered who’s on the other side of the camera, this is our story—and the people who make it possible.
Kayla got married in 2015, moved to Ohio, and worked at an upscale furniture store while dreaming in color palettes and floor plans, she soon discovered that her dreams of being an interior designer wasn't actually the right path for her. After Griffin was born, she stayed home—and kept searching for “her” thing. She tried it all: wreaths, Mary Kay, blogging, Color Street. and The Celebration Co. 1.0 (a company who created party and celebration boxes to rent for that Pinterest worthy party) Some doors closed, but each one taught her something—especially how to show up consistently on social, go live, connect, and serve.
In 2021, with a nudge from God and a whole lot of courage, Kayla called Cindy: “I want to start The Celebration Co. again.” The very next day, she went live. (Classic Kayla. 😉)
She streamed twice a day, Monday–Friday, built to 10,000 followers in months, got monetized—and for a season, it was electric. Then the algorithms shifted; the easy money disappeared. That’s when the real building began.
Cindy had left her full-time job in graphic design in 2020, praying for a path that would let her design on her own terms. She’s not the “go live every day” type—and that’s okay. She’s the steady, creative backbone: brand visuals, printables, packaging touches, and the quiet excellence that shows up in your box before you even open it.
Where Kayla thrives on-camera, Cindy shines behind the screen: color, composition, story. Together, they’re a balanced whole—one talking, one crafting, both obsessing over the details.
Life in front of the camera is… real. You’ll see Griffin wander in. Andrew might crack a joke. It’s not staged; it’s family. Under God, that’s our order of operations. We pray over ideas, timelines, and tough decisions. When the “overnight success” faded, we didn’t quit—we listened, learned, and kept building character along the way.
“The path isn’t always straight. It’s often bumpy—but that doesn’t mean it’s wrong.”
One day, a chance chat with a local company owner who 3D-prints cookie cutters lit a fire. Kayla—who jokes she could barely operate the paper printer—couldn’t let the idea go. What if we designed original pieces and built complete projects around them?
We bought two tiny used printers. Today there are nine humming downstairs. Every print, packed by our team, is a small act of love that eventually lands on your table—ready to become something beautiful in your home.
And when we say we care about customer service, we mean it. If something’s off, we fix it. We want the experience—start to finish—to feel fair, friendly, and honest. Our goal is to make every customer a "Customer for Life"
At its heart, The Celebration Co. is about belonging—to God, to family, and to a community that finds joy in making. We’re here to design projects you’ll be proud to display, to teach in a way that feels doable, and to create a little breathing room in your week where your hands make something good.
We’ll keep showing up live, telling stories, answering questions, and laughing when the glasses fog up or the something in the basement makes a mysterious “thunk” mid-stream. Because this is real life—and that’s worth celebrating.
If you’re new here, welcome, friend. Grab your coffee, say hi in the comments, and make yourself at home. If you’ve been with us since those twice-a-day lives—thank you. Your encouragement got us through the bumpy parts and made the sweet parts sweeter.
Here’s to faith, family, and the joy of making—together. 💖
